The Optimus KNX Touch Sensor replaces a mechanical switch with a flat glass surface. You assign every one of the 4 buttons in ETS. So the same panel can switch lights, run scenes, drive blinds or set a fan speed.

Where to Use This Optimus KNX Touch Sensor

This Optimus KNX Touch Sensor suits bedrooms, living rooms, offices and hotel corridors. In these spaces, installers often prefer a clean, flat glass panel over mechanical rockers. It also pairs well with KNX dimming and blind actuators already on the bus.

You program this sensor with ETS5 or newer, and you mount it on a standard flush box.

Compatibility

• Bus system: KNX twisted pair, to EN 50090 and ISO/IEC 14543-3.
• Configuration: ETS 5 or ETS 6. The manufacturer publishes the product database free of charge.
• Interoperable with KNX-certified devices from any manufacturer. ABB, Schneider, Siemens, Gira, Jung and Theben all sit on the same bus, so this unit works inside a mixed-brand installation.
• Bus supply: 21-30 V DC from a standard KNX power supply.
• Room temperature control: the setpoint and the measured value travel over the bus to KNX valve, fan-coil or underfloor heating actuators. No proprietary cabling.
• Not compatible with Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi-only or Matter-only devices unless a KNX gateway is added.
