One glass panel for the whole room

The ABB KNX RoomTouch 5 (RT/U30.0.1-811, ABB order code 2TMA200050W0007) replaces a wall of switches with a single HD IPS touch display. It is the largest member of the ABB RoomTouch family and is designed as the primary room control element in villas, hotel rooms, offices and meeting spaces running on KNX.

What it controls

Every standard KNX function is available as a native control element, so nothing has to be approximated with generic buttons:

• Switching and rocker switch
• Dimming, both 4-bit and 8-bit, plus slider control
• Blind and shutter control
• RGBW colour control element
• Room temperature control element and Split Unit (AC) control element
• Step switch, scene switch, display element and audio control element

Built-in logic, no extra hardware

The RoomTouch 5 carries its own automation engine, which keeps smaller projects free of additional logic modules:

• 20 fault and alarm messages
• 10 logic functions
• 10 timers, each with 6 switching times
• 4 scene actuators
• 1 room temperature controller
• PIN protection on individual pages

Sensors and display

An integrated temperature sensor, proximity sensor and brightness sensor are fitted as standard. The proximity sensor wakes the display as a user approaches and the brightness sensor adapts the backlight to ambient light. The screen shows status, date and time, and both indoor and outdoor temperature. Viewing angle is 160 degrees horizontal and vertical.

Inputs and installation

The device provides one push-button / switch input and one external temperature sensor input. It mounts in a separate flush-mounted box and runs from an external 20-32 V DC SELV supply alongside the KNX TP bus. Page layout is a maximum of 30 touch surfaces across 6 or 10 pages, depending on the mounting orientation.
