A whole room from one DIN-rail unit

The Optimus OPT-RCxxyy-111 room controller handles lighting, shutters and blinds, fan-coil units and valve control from a single KNX device. Input and output counts run from 4+4 up to 14+16, covering everything from a single office to a large commercial floor without stacking separate actuators and input modules.

Inputs and outputs that adapt

Dry contact inputs are configurable in ETS as Switch Sensor, Shutter/Blind Sensor, Dimmer Sensor, Value Sender or Array Value Sender. Bistable relay outputs handle switching, shutter/blind, 3-point valve and fan-coil applications, each rated 16 A at 250 V AC. Grey terminals are inputs and orange terminals are outputs, which keeps field wiring unambiguous.

Built-in RTC and logic

A real-time clock and logic functions are integrated, so room temperature control and independent logic scenarios run on the device itself. Internal scenarios between inputs and outputs can even operate without a KNX bus line by feeding 24-30 V DC into the KNX input, which keeps a room working during commissioning or bus maintenance.

Manual override and LED monitoring

LED indicators show input and output states at a glance. A manual mode button plus function control keys allow local intervention on site. The OPT-RC1416-111 adds dedicated input and output monitoring modes for more detailed field supervision.

Installation

DIN rail mounting in indoor distribution boards. All parameters are set in ETS and physical addressing uses the programming button. The design is maintenance-free with a compact footprint.
