The JRA/S8.230.4.2 is part of ABB’s current JRA/S blind and roller-shutter actuator range. It sits on the DIN rail in the distribution board, takes its logic power from the KNX bus and switches 8 230 V AC motor outputs. Each channel handles up and down travel with the interlock and changeover delay built in, so the motor is protected without extra wiring.

What it does

• 8 independent blind/shutter channels — drives 8 motors, or 4 motors with separate up/down groups where the project needs it.
• 230 V AC motor supply, DIN-rail mounted (MDRC), powered from the KNX bus for its logic.
• Manual operation on the front — every channel can be driven by hand during commissioning or a bus failure, with no ETS download needed.
• Travel detection — the actuator measures actual travel time, so slat and height positions stay accurate over the life of the installation.
• Integrated binary inputs — connect conventional wall switches directly to the actuator instead of adding a separate input module.
